Odette. Host of Dungeon Crawler After Hours. Crab-taur. The alien equivalent of a late-night talk show host, except her guests are fighting for their lives and her audience spans the galaxy. She leaks information to Carl and Donut that she probably shouldn't, including an advance copy of the leaderboard. Her motives are not entirely clear. Her ratings, however, are excellent.

Who is Odette?

Odette hosts Dungeon Crawler After Hours, one of the entertainment shows that orbit the main Dungeon Crawler World broadcast. She's a crab-taur -- half crab, half humanoid -- and she runs her show with the practiced ease of someone who has been interviewing doomed crawlers for a long time.

Carl and Donut appear on her show early in the series. Carl is wearing underwear fashioned out of toilet paper. Odette notes, on air, that this definitively proves a certain sex tape was definitely faked. This is the kind of show it is.

Despite the entertainment veneer, Odette provides Carl and Donut with genuinely useful intelligence. She leaks an advance copy of the leaderboard after they flee the Third Floor. Her relationship with the crawlers is complex -- she's part of the media machine that profits from their suffering, but she also seems to have genuine sympathy for their situation.
