Floor 3: Race and Class Selection
Overview
Floor 3 is where crawlers choose their race and class -- the foundational decision that shapes everything going forward. The System AI recommends three race options but crawlers may have hundreds to choose from. Each race comes with stat bonuses, penalties, and sometimes dramatic physical transformations (crawlers who change race melt into goo and reform, like Donut did with the pet biscuit but intentional).
Class selection happens here too. Carl chooses the Compensated Anarchist -- "a trapmaking, bomb-making, social-media dynamo." Approximately 80% of crawlers keep their original race. The ones who change often have very good reasons.
Carl's choices
- Race: Primal -- one of the base human-adjacent races
- Class: Compensated Anarchist -- focused on traps, bombs, and media manipulation. The System AI's description is worth quoting in the About section of this site because it's essentially what we're doing here.
