Who dies in Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 8?
In Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 8, A Parade of Horribles, the biggest death is a god's: Emberus, killed by his own brother Taranis in the Floor 11 arena, a death Carl sets up to end the quest Emberus forced on him (Chapter 96 by the fan wiki's count). Carl and Donut both make it down to the twelfth floor.
Most crawler deaths come in the Floor 10 races. Finley and his teammates are run down at a pit stop (Chapter 44), and Osvaldo is killed by Britney at the final exit (Chapter 83). The races are in the Book 8 recap.
How does A Parade of Horribles end?
In Dungeon Crawler Carl, Book 8 ends in the Floor 11 boss arena. The parade itself is the System AI explaining its plan for vengeance on the Syndicate. In the arena, Carl gets Taranis to kill Emberus, freeing himself of that god's quest, and brings in Scolopendra to turn her into a pet. Donut uses the wrong biscuit, so Scolopendra becomes a thinking party member instead.
Nineteen crawlers go down to the twelfth floor as the Ascendency battles begin. Where that leaves Book 9 is in the recap's last section.
How many crawlers are left at the end of Book 8?
In Dungeon Crawler Carl, nineteen crawlers are left at the end of Book 8 and go down to the twelfth floor. The count falls fast: 5,501 crawlers start Floor 10, most survivors take deals before it ends, over two hundred crawlers and allies escape to the Pineapple Cabaret, and only 23 reach Floor 11.
