- Healer: Imani. The calmest person in any room. That is most of the job.
- Scout: Princess Donut. She is going first whether you assign her or not. Make it official.
- Big damage: Carl. Has never met a problem he did not want to blow up.
- Works the crowd: Odette. She hosts a talk show. This was not a hard call.
- Safe room: Mordecai. He has watched every crawler walk through that door. He still pours you one.
How the System rates a party
Every job wants certain kinds of crawler, and each pick scores the best match it has. A fighter is built for the front line, a talker works the crowd, and a guide is the best company in a safe room. The rating is the party's total out of the most it could score, from 0 to 100. Nobody in Book 1 has a healing role on file, so a Book 1 party tops out below a perfect score; readers further along can unlock more crawlers. A pet is for fun and never changes the rating.
- Front line (takes the hits so you don't): fighter 3, animal 2.
- Healer (keeps you alive. judges you while doing it): healer 3, caster 1, talker 1.
- Scout (goes first. usually comes back): scout 3, animal 2, fighter 1.
- Big damage (makes the boss fight short): caster 3, fighter 3, animal 1.
- Works the crowd (the show is always on. someone has to be good at it): talker 3, npc 1.
- Safe room (who you want across the table when the floor is over): guide 3, npc 2, animal 2.
Rate 90 or more for a Legendary party box, 75 for Gold, 50 for Silver. Below that, Bronze. The audience still watches.
