Who is Katia?
Katia joins Carl and Donut's party starting on Floor 3. She took the Doppelganger race, which lets her reshape a fixed mass into any form of equal mass, sculpted by hand rather than shifted at will. She is bad at it to begin with, faces especially, and gets steadily better as the series goes on. She is one of the few crawlers Carl trusts completely, and that trust is earned through consistent competence, loyalty, and the ability to keep her head when everyone around her is losing theirs.
Where Carl is chaotic and Donut is dramatic, Katia is steady. She's the structural integrity of the Royal Court. When the AI throws a tantrum, when Donut's haggling gets out of hand, when Carl's plans go sideways (which is always), Katia is the one adapting, compensating, and keeping the group alive.
